Overview#

Money Flow detects and tracks the general flow of money in the market. It uses algorithms based on statistics and probabilities to give you insight into market volume and direction. This tool helps you see whether the market is in a buying phase (accumulation) or a selling phase (distribution). It is adaptive and updates over time.

Settings#

You can change the Money Flow settings to adjust how it analyzes market activity.

Setting	Description
Money Flow	Turns the statistical money flow detection on or off. When on, it shows institutional money flow patterns.
Money Flow Sensitivity	Controls how sensitive the money flow detection is. A lower number makes it more sensitive to short-term changes. A higher number makes it less sensitive, focusing on longer-term money flows.
Money Flow Filter	Controls how strong a signal needs to be before it shows. It shows one direction at a time. A lower number is less strict and shows signals with medium confidence. A higher number is more strict and shows signals with strong statistical evidence.

Best practices and usage#

• Identify market phases: Use Money Flow to see if buyers (accumulation) or sellers (distribution) are in control. This can help you decide whether to look for long (buy) or short (sell) opportunities.
• Confirm trend direction: If the market is in an uptrend, bullish money flow can confirm the trend's strength. If the market is in a downtrend, bearish money flow can confirm the downward momentum.
• Adjust for your trading style:
  • Short-term traders: Use a lower sensitivity setting to see faster changes in money flow.
  • Long-term traders: Use a higher sensitivity setting to focus on more significant, sustained trends.
• Filter for confidence: Increase the filter setting to reduce market noise and focus on high-confidence money flow signals. This can help you avoid acting on weaker, less reliable movements.
