Lune connects to four live broker platforms for futures trading: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, and ProjectX. It also includes Lune Paper, a built-in paper-trading connection that needs no broker. Each links to Lune in a slightly different way, so pick your platform below to see the exact steps.
Connect with one click. You authorize on Tradovate, and no keys are pasted.
Runs on the Tradovate connection. The same one-click authorize flow.
Sign in with your Rithmic username, password, and system name.
Sign in with your prop firm username and a ProjectX API key.
Paper trading with no broker or credentials. Set any starting balance, and orders fill at live prices with no real money.
How the connection is used#
Once connected, Lune uses your broker session for two things: reading your accounts, positions, and fills in real time, and placing orders when your automations, Trade Copier, or Cockpit send them. Market data and execution both flow over the same secure session.
A note on prop firms#
Many prop firms run on one of these four live platforms. If you trade a funded account, connect the platform your firm uses. Your firm decides which platform and which account types you get, so check your firm's dashboard if you are unsure which one to pick.
NinjaTrader and Tradovate share one login. If your accounts live under a NinjaTrader ID, either connection type works.
