General questions
Quick answers to the questions new users ask most about how Lune runs.
Short answers to the things people ask before they start. Follow the links for the full detail.
Does it run when my computer is off?#
Yes. Lune runs in the cloud. Your automations keep executing with your computer and TradingView closed. There is nothing to leave running on your machine. Learn how the pieces fit in how Lune works.
Which brokers are supported?#
Lune connects to four platforms for futures trading: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, and ProjectX. NinjaTrader runs on the Tradovate connection. See supported brokers to pick yours.
Do I need a VPS?#
No. Because Lune runs in the cloud, you do not rent or run a VPS. You connect your broker, point your alerts at Lune, and it handles execution for you.
Is my data encrypted?#
Yes. Lune encrypts your credentials with AES-256, using a fresh random value for each encryption. Credentials are only decrypted at the moment an order runs, and Lune never shows them back to you or your browser. See how connections work.
